The trend is toward being abstract - painting, objects, graphics from the collection of the Frankfurt (Oder) Museum Junge Kunst (museum of modern art)

Until 1990, the collection founded in 1965 had its focus on art from the Sowjetische Besatzungszone (SBZ) (Soviet occupation zone of Germany after World War II) and from the GDR (German Democratic Republic). From 1990, works from the Federal Republic of Germany and from Poland (graphic design) were added to the portfolio. The works are of different styles, including works of constructive, tangible, abstract, minimalist or informal art. Since 1991, the museum no longer presents a permanent exhibition, but a new exhibition is conceived from a different aspect every year - this year it is on abstract trends.
