The Spreewald is also unique: With 970 km of waterways, this biosphere reservation is unique in Europe – a labyrinth of rivers and streams that can be best explored in a punting boat. This is the cultural home of the Sorbs and Wends, a Slavic minority with its very own language and tradition.
