Mildenberg Brickworks Centre –more than a factory

Mildenberg Brickworks Centre Earth, air, fire and water are the hosts in Mildenberg, which is located about 40km to the north of Berlin. The experience-orientated brickworks centre presents a graphic outline of the history of the brickworks and the technology of the former biggest brickwork plant in Europe, which may not only be found in numerous Berlin buildings. The Mildenberg brickworks centre is located on the site of two major listed brickworks. Events also take place here regularly, such as days of sound, worlds of light, exhibitions and meetings of vintage cars, steam engine festivals or guided tours. At the brickworks museum, real surprises await technology enthusiasts, such as tipper wagon trains, the boiler house or other plants for brick production from clay. Afterwards, homely Brandenburg cooking awaits hungry mouths at the local tourist café with a view of the river Havel. After the meal, you will possibly also catch sight of one or two cyclists on the international long distance cycle path from Berlin to Copenhagen, which goes past in the vicinity of Mildenberg.
