Stechlinsee Neuglobsow – in the footsteps of Fontane

The sight of the 68m deep crystal-clear Stechlinsee (a lake) certainly left the famous literary figure Fontane speechless: "There it lay before us, the indented lake, mysterious, resembling a dumb creature that wants to speak.” Anyone who reaches Stechlinsee, discovers one of the most beautiful parts of Mark Brandenburg, entirely in keeping with the maxim:  Brandenburg has a lake for everyone. Enchanted places in the vicinity of the lake, such as Neuglobsow, invite you to linger. The people here live in calm and picturesque isolation, far away from the hectic pace of Berlin and the prominent figures of Potsdam.
