After a short time, the journey leads to the small town of Seelow via the B167. In the spring of 1945, Seelow rose to tragic fame because of the last great battle of World War II. The
Seelow Heights Memorial Site and Museum bears witness to the events in an impressive way. Further to the north, via the B167 road, you will be inspired. In the classical
Neuhardenberg Castle, an afternoon snack in stylish ambience awaits you.

People who are fond of travelling and those who are interested in literature venture on an excursion to the
Brecht Weigel House at Buckow. The others set off through the mysterious Oderbruch area to Niederfinow to visit the impressive
Ship’s Lift, in which large cargo ships can be moved more than 30m up and down like in an elevator.

On the last section of the route for the day, we set off through the wildly romantic Schorfheide-Chorin biosphere reserve (the most extensive connected forest area in Europe) to
Chorin Monastery or to Hotel Haus Chorin by the picturesque Klostersee (a lake).
