Brandenburg is colourful and diverse. Adventures await you everywhere: for instance during a ride with the tipper wagon train through the area where clay is cut at the
Mildenberg Brickworks Centre, or with a jeep or a mountain bike through the limestone quarry in the
Rüdersdorf Museum Centre or through the gigantic lunar landscapes of the former open-cast
mining areas. Biosphere nature reserves invite you to explore
nature, historic village complexes with a church and village green present themselves as if they appeared from a picture book.

Impressive technological monuments, museums and historic memorial sites are
destinations that also make graphic
history lessons possible in the open air. How lively a
natural landscape that was created during the ice age can be is shown by a ride by punt through
Spreewald – which is a water labyrinth branching in all directions that is also called the ”Brandenburg Venice“. Its inhabitants, the Sorbs, cultivate interesting traditions and a language of their own.
Discoveries also await you at the Potsdam Biosphere, a tropical garden whose unique world of adventures in nature will inspire you. Babelsberg Film Park is one of the many highlights in
Potsdam and a destination for lovers of film and television, who are offered a peek behind the fascinating world of moving pictures. The breathtaking stunt show “Bartertown” or the diving trip full of horror in the original film set for “U-boot” (submarine) provide a pure thrill.

Anyone who likes things to be fast-paced will also find plenty of things to do in Brandenburg. With
FLAEMING-SKATE to the south of Berlin, the state has the longest inline skating path in Germany. A smooth layer of asphalt more than 120km in length means a clear run for inline skaters and
cyclists. Apart from a multitude of sports offers, such as football, table tennis, frisbee and basketball, additional fashionable kinds of sport can be tried out. After the sport, you can jump right into the waters: a refreshing bath is always an option and, in addition, the rivers and chains of lakes invite you to lengthy
canoe trips. There are white sandy beaches at reservoirs, shady places by lakes surrounded by forest – and a summer picnic on their shores is really great fun.
To go and see cows in the morning, then play a round of football or jump into the lake – everything is possible. Whether they are located close to the city or in the midst of the countryside at lakes or in the open country: youth hostels and hotels at reasonable rates for young people, farms, school field centres, holiday camps and farms with horse riding facilities have many offers for your leisure time. Playgrounds and football areas, the rental of bicycles or sports equipment, barbecue sites and campfires, discos and arts studios are just some examples. Organised tours and outings are possible as well, of course - from guided hikes to bicycle tours and canoe trips. In addition, some establishments offer educational cover and creativity courses on the computer or at the drawing board.
