The historic Leesenbrück Lock, which is still operated manually, was opened in its current form in 1878 after being completely renovated. The former towpath, along which the Finow Canal cycle path now runs, leads straight through the lock site. Along the expansive rest area right by the lock, you can still make out parts of the former lock basin which is now filled in. There is a pontoon right before the lower gate.

Up until 1997, the future of the Finow Canal was uncertain. In 1999, Euro 20 million was spent on renovating the canal and locks, which are now exclusively available to pleasure boats, sporting boats and passenger boat cruises.

Location: Fik 61.11 kilometres

Measurements: Lock chamber 41.25 metres long; 9.5 metres wide, upper and lower gate: 5.25 metres wide respectively.

Lift: 2.5 metres
