Past the protected wetlands of the so called Fenne and Wustrickgraben (boggy area, wetland) the hiking trail runs in the direction of Halber Weg. Forests and meadows line the path, which crosses the A13 motorway. Hiking through the heath Teupitzer Heide, you reach the small lake Nicolassee.

The lake has a small bathing and resting place and invites you to linger. The way back to Groß Köris also takes you past dry grassland and summer heath. Shortly before the finish, it is worth making a detour to the bathing area at the lake Schweriner See. Reaching the destination various shops and reastaurants are available in Groß Köris.

Route: Groß Köris railway station - A13 bridge - Lake Nicolassee - Small hill Hohe Bude - Schwerin - Groß Köris railway station

    By car: Take the A 13 motorway to the Schwerin exit. Then follow the signs.
