The Hoher Fläming Nature Park has had another attraction to bring in visitors since June 2020: Wiesenburg Country Golf, fun for all the family. The Bistro & Barista Café in Wiesenburg railway station acts as the base station. Apart from serving coffee specialities, the bistro also sells home-made cakes and quiche, as well as other small snacks and antipasti. From here, visitors head out to hit balls round the Wiesenburg Castle grounds or - only in 2020 - for a round of football golf, combining elements of football and golf, in the Sculpture Garden. Sculptures by the artist Sebastian David serve as obstacles in the round of football golf. The 9-hole natural golf course will open in July. The naturalised golf course covering almost nine hectares blends perfectly into the landscape in the heart of the beautiful scenery of the Hoher Fläming region, situated between the castle grounds and Wiesenburg railway station. The existing flora and fauna – biotopes, watercourses, grasses – have been integrated as elements of the course. Equipment and snacks for the round are available on site. During the summer, the World of Model Vehicles with its remote-controlled agricultural and construction machinery, is yet another attraction in the goods shed. And it’s not just worth visiting in the rain!
