Sudermannpark is often called Blankensee castle grounds. In the centre of the three hectare park, there is a castle where writer Hermann Sudermann lived from 1902. Prior to this, the striking Baroque style building was owned by his friend Victor von Thümen, whose family had built the property. The park was designed in the mid-19th century by Peter-Joseph Lenné, who had made a name for himself as the General Director of the Prussian Royal Gardens. Sudermann focused in particular on redesigning the park as several thematic and formal enclosed garden rooms with impressive sculptures from his Italian collection.

On a walk of the park, visitors can see marble benches, the Italian statues, little white bridges that arch over the River Nieplitz and a round temple. Together, they create a Mediterranean atmosphere on Märkisch soil.

The castle and Sudermann room is a conference location and can also be hired for weddings and celebrations but is not open on a regular basis for guided tours.
