Luckenwalde lies at the heart of the Baruther Urstromtal Valley, just 50 kilometres from Berlin. The town offers its visitors interesting residential and industrial buildings from the Wilhelmine era, as well as reform and Bauhaus architecture. As a former industrial town, Luckenwalde has an array of valuable buildings that are steeped in history and well worth discovering.

For nature lovers it also isn’t far from the Nuthe-Nieplitz Nature Park, where you can take in the nature while hiking, riding or cycling. Sport enthusiasts and those looking to unwind will find a fitting change from culture at the Fläming-Therme baths and the nearby Flaeming-Skate, the largest facility of its kind in Germany.

The Luckenwalde Tourist Information Centre is located in the building Markt 11, right opposite the Kirche St. Johannis church and next to the town hall at the heart of the town. There are parking spaces very close by at the market square and behind the town hall. Guests with restricted mobility can access the building from the rear.
