The first part of the historic Brennabor plants was restored back in 2001 with the aim of creating exhibition spaces for fine art in Brandenburg an der Havel. Since the Kunsthalle Brennabor opened in 2015, the Brandenburger Theater has curated and held all of its major professional exhibitions here. Projects including ‘Mathematics and Art’, ‘Art in Jail’, ‘Disposition I’ and the ‘Anne Hoenig Exhibition’ presented internationally renowned artists in Brandenburg an der Havel. From 2016 to 2019 the cultural administration for the town of Brandenburg an der Havel worked together with the association for Kunsthalle Brennabor and curator Christian Kneisel to organise around six exhibitions each year. Since 2020 the association has handled the exhibitions on its own.

Tip!
Jan Hoffmann (TMB-Mitarbeiter)
