Hang-gliding is considered to be the type of free flight most similar to that of birds. Attached to a trailer with ropes, passengers can really take off, control the hang-glider and fly. The offer includes all the equipment required, including a helmet, harness and hang-glider, an introduction to hang-gliding as well as two or four flights with the hang-glider. An experienced trainer is at the passenger’s side the whole time to limit the maximum flight altitude and movement of the hang-glider according to the pilot’s skill level. The flying time is 20 minutes.
The hang-gliding takes place at Welzow, Altes Lager, Cottbus Nord and Tropical Islands airfields. Whether flying is possible depends on the visual flight conditions and the weather. The minimum pilot age is 12, and those under the age of 18 need the written consent of a parent or guardian. The maximum pilot weight is 110 kilograms. They must also be in normal physical condition.
