Anyone seeking relaxation has come to the right place in the nature reserve “Forsthaus Prösa” that is part of the Lower Lusatian Heath Nature Park. Visitors can hear the leaves of the mature trees rustle and listen to the twittering of birds, while watching the grazing moorland sheep. Hiking in the Lower Lusatian heathland is a wonderful experience. Touching tree bark, smelling blades of grass and watching beetles and butterflies: Hikers can enjoy the surroundings with all their senses. The open landscape that allows for views into the far distance, is characterised by grey hairgrass and common heather. The area that is surrounded by vast sessile oak forests is well-worth a visit even when the heather is not in bloom.

Guided hikes through the heath landscape, pine forests and moor with relaxation exercises and explanations of natural history, take place at some of the most beautiful spots of the Lower Lusatian Heath Nature Park and are available for groups of at least four people (up to 20). A mediation hike is about ten kilometres long and takes between three and four hours.

Guided hikes:
  • With a picnic and tasting session at the Heathland Manufactory
  • Experience the heath landscape with all your senses

A “Heath Menu” served after the guided hike or a camp fire and bread making at night can be booked in addition to the guided hikes. A visit to the Heathland Manufactory in the Niederlausitz region is highly recommended.

Themed charabanc rides are also available for groups of eight and more people. These trips are always great fun, whether you choose to visit the heathland fairy or the Loben witch, or opt for a flower or fruit themed tour. The “Lobenburger” staff is also happy to help when it comes to finding a place to stay.
