Southwest of Hoyerswerda in the small village of Zeißholz is the source of the Vincenzgraben. The small river flows through the villages of Zeißholz, Scheckthal and past Dubring. On its way it passes through the forest of the monastery St. Marienstern, the Dubringer Moor as well as the small village Michalken and Dörgenhausen to then flow into the Schwarze Elster. The guided bike tour "Stories along the Vincenzgraben" takes those interested along the path of the little river, starting at the "Teichwirtschaft Zelder" in the small village of Neudorf/Klösterlich. Among the places visited during the bike tour are the Dubringer Moor lookout tower, the so-called "Pechteiche", the source of the Vincenzgraben and the "Zeißholz" village museum, which is a reminder of the briquette factory that was shut down in the 1990s. Participants will experience the diversity of nature on the edge of the Lusatian Lakeland and learn stories and legends about this charming stretch of land.
