The open-air swimming pool in the town forest is situated in a quiet location on the outskirts of the town of Wittenberge and has an inviting sandy bathing area for swimming. Visitors can enjoy the clear water of the Friedensteich pool, plus the superb beach volleyball and football areas. Facilities also include a mini-golf course, bowling alley, snack bar and a newly constructed half-timbered multi-purpose building. Overnight stays are possible on the camp site or in the log cabins. The Strandbad Friedensteich lido is accessed via the forest path entrance from Gehrenweg at the corner of Düsterweg.
