In Staffelde, northwest of Berlin near the Kremmen motorway exit, travellers should stop off at the Hornemann siblings’ Kornblumenscheune (“Cornflower Barn”), which has been designed with a great eye for detail. The design combines modern elements with rustic deco, featuring old half-timbered façades and old bricks put to new use. The result is a space for a creative florist shop, a café and a rustic barn that can be rented for festivities. As a qualified educator, Birgit Hornemann invites you to various children’s events such as reading nights, forest and meadow days, and craft trade days. In the barn, guests can tie their own favourite bouquet or relax with a cup of coffee or a freshly made latte macchiato and a piece of home-baked cake, while the children pass the time in the sandpit, in the hayloft, playing with the farm kittens or exploring the natural surroundings.
