Heavenly overnight stays in the creative ambience of a historic ensemble of buildings that are gradually being restored – this is what Mühle Himmelpfort promises.

Feel at home straight away! - is the motto of the artistic design of the rooms: very generous single and double rooms, a suite for four and two breathtakingly beautiful holiday apartments are available all year round.

On the ecologically restored second floor in the historic storehouse building of Mühle Himmelpfort, you will find the orientally-inspired MORGENLAND holiday apartment and the ÜBERSEE apartment, which are reminiscent of far-away lands. The warm colours of the artistically plastered walls and exposed masonry lit up by beautiful lamps are enchanting – even in the darker months of the year!

There is plenty of space in the apartments. The luxuriously decorated eat-in kitchen invites you to cook together and then dream the time away on deep sofas. Nothing has been left to chance here and, in particular, the attention to detail is visible in every corner of the apartments and holiday guest rooms.

The bathrooms in both apartments have natural stone flooring, an open shower and a large bath tub. The apartments also have a 40 square metre covered terrace with a fabulous seating area.

In addition to this, on the fourth floor there are seven artistically decorated guest rooms with shared bathrooms and a fully equipped group kitchen. No two rooms are alike. The names of the rooms give an indication of what the mill owner is like: “Himmelweit” (world’s apart), “Biberzahn” (beaver tooth) and “Waldgeister” (forest spirits).

Right on the gentle bubbling mill race, you can enjoy a fantastic view of the whole region from the former storehouse building.

In addition to a library and reading room, a relaxation room and a seminar room, you will also find a well equipped kitchen where large cookery parties can be celebrated. The garden offers a fire pit, barbecue area and access to the water for those with boats on a large sunbathing lawn.

There is also plenty of space for groups. And if you need extra space, there is a hall in the mill building with a stage, seating and a Feurich concert grand piano.

We have exclusive offers for seminar groups, company teams, theatre personnel and other musicians.

Mühle Himmelpfort is an ideal starting point in diverse natural surroundings. Hiking, canoe, bicycle and mountain bike trips, jogging, connoisseur tours and, in particular, the network of artists and craftspeople in the region etc.

What we offer:
  • 5 large double rooms with shared bathrooms and a large kitchen
  • 1 suite for 4 persons with shared bathrooms and a large kitchen
  • 2 holiday apartments renovated using environmentally-friendly building materials for 4 to 6 persons
  • several seminar rooms
  • mill hall
  • co-working work spaces
  • Salzmann library
  • garden with access to the water
  • cultural events and workshops by Craftwerk e.V.
