Detour: to Linum and Fehrbellin (17.5 kilometres one way)

  • Altfriesack: Drawbridge (technical monument)
  • Wustrau: Palace with landscape garde
  • Neuruppin: classicist town ensemble, birthplace of Theodor Fontane and Karl Friedrich Schinkel, épinal print, Tempelgarten, Neuruppin museum, St. Marien parish church, St. Trinitatis monastery church, Altes Gymnasium (old grammar school), Siechenhauskapelle St. Laurentius chapel
  • Lindow (Mark): Monastery ruins

Lake/river profile: varied; rivers, canals and lakes; navigable with charter licence from Rhin tributary; shallow depth on Lake Bützsee (pay attention to buoy markings), no connection for motor boats to the waters of Rheinsberg and the Mecklenburgische Seenplatte lake district; 5 locks

Driving licence: boating licence required from Oranienburg to the Altfriesack lock, after the Altfriesack lock, no licence is needed
