It is also worth taking a tour through the town centre with its listed town hall and “Töppervillen”, which are the extensively renovated homes of the former factory owners, dating back to the age of rapid industrial expansion in Germany. Prosperity is still evident today in the town that experienced its economic peak with nearly forty stove factories around the year 1900.

Lake Brensteinsee in Velten offers the ideal conditions for bathing, hiking and fishing. There is also a water skiing facility at the lake.

Whether you are looking for sights, exhibitions, cycle paths, events, recreation or interesting facts about the town - the tourist information centre in the town of Velten will be happy to advise you.
