How to get there: Take the S5 (Mahlsdorf) line on the S-Bahn (rapid transit train) from Berlin central station to Wuhletal. From here, take the U5 underground line to Hönow (about 1 hour).

Return journey: Take the S5 (Spandau) line on the S-Bahn (rapid transit train) from Strausberg Nord to Berlin central station (about 1 hour).

Route description: Hönow underground station is the starting point of the wonderful tour. The route then takes you along the ZR1 Cycle Path to the historic town centre of Altlandsberg. Founded back in the first half of the 13th century, it is a completely preserved town centre that has experienced different styles of architecture. Visitors are attracted to the town church, the almost completely preserved town wall or the castle church. Anyone wanting to learn more about the town's history should definitely take the guided tour about the town's night watchman. The castle estate and church are a cultural and tourist event venue offering a wide programme of events that is always kept up-to-date on its website. The route then continues into the countryside, where you can spend some time at Obstgut Müller fruit farm where they grow sustainable fruit or at the Camargue Pferdehof Wesendahl riding school with its Camargue horses. Wilkendorf, the next stop on the tour, is a must-go place for golf enthusiasts because Golfpark Wilkendorf golf resort with its golf academy is a renowned place for fans of this sport. Culture lovers will not only find works by internationally renowned artists in the Atelier im Skulpturenpark Stübner art studio, but can also try out their artistic skills with a chain saw or sculptor's hammer.
