Stage six of the Brandenburg section of the Oder-Neiße Cycle Path covers a distance of 43 kilometres from Bad Freienwalde to Schwedt (Oder). The 74 kilometre long route goes along the Oder dyke towards Schwedt (Oder). The expansive meadows along the Oder River open up to the right, providing a habitat for thousands of waterfowl - especially in the spring. About half-way, you will get to the Stolper Turm tower, which affords stunning views of the Oder floodplain.

Start: Bad Freienwalde / Finish: Schwedt

How to get there: Take the RE3 (Schwedt) from Berlin central station to Eberswalde. From here, continue by taking the RB60 (Wrietzen) to Bad Freienwalde (about 1 hour).

Return journey: Take the RE3 (Lutherstadt Wittenberg) from Schwedt to Berlin central station (about 1.5 hours).

Route: Bad Freienwalde, Schiffmühle, Altglietzen, Neuglietzen, Hohenwutzen, Hohensaaten, Stolpe, Stützkow, Criewen, Zützen, Schwedt
