Altwustrow is an old village, which was originally settled by fishermen. Above all, the church is worth seeing with the pews and the pulpit altar in the baroque style as well as the paper ceiling, which is unique in northern Germany. From the outside, the half-timbered building, erected by farming families in 1789 without royal permission, appears rather plain. Neulietzegöricke, on the other hand, is the oldest colonist Neudorf after the start of drainage in 1753 and is a listed village. The townscape is characterized by a row of half-timbered houses with thirteen buildings including the restaurant "Zum wet Willi" in the former village inn. This includes the village church built in 1842 in late classical style with a rectangular hall and a square west tower. The ensemble also includes residential buildings with stables and barns as well as the completely preserved four-sided courtyard Borkenhagen with a pigeon house.
