Eisenhüttenstadt, also known as “Hütte”, is located between the Oder and the Oder-Spree Canal. From here, adventurers set off on unique tours on the Huckleberry rafts, which can take you as far as the Baltic Sea. The surrounding area also offers experiences close to nature in Lower Lusatia.

The Oder-Spree Canal allows for a relaxed exploration of the landscape. An overnight stay on the Müllroser See lake offers access to the Schlaubetal valley with its natural forests, meadows and lakes. The Schlaube river with its fish ladders, historic mills and nature trails make the region a popular retreat.

Romantic overnight accommodation is available at Lake Wergensee before the route continues across the Spree to Beeskow. From there, the route continues to Schwielochsee, the largest lake in Brandenburg.

Eisenhüttenstadt itself combines two different facets: the socialist planned town, which has been listed as a historical monument for 40 years, and the historic Fürstenberg (1255) with its narrow streets, an old fishing district and a Gothic parish church from the 14th century.

A tour to Fürstenberg, which includes a passage through the twin locks, is ideal for day trips. This lock overcomes a height difference of 14 meters. Information on using the locks is available when you pick up your raft.
