Explore the "Müggelspree Löcknitzer Wald- und Seengebiet" nature reserve, a romantic and diverse area of Mark Brandenburg just outside Berlin. In Grünheide (Mark) you can explore the landscape by foot, bike or on the water. You can reach Grünheide by train via the stations Erkner, Fangschleuse and Hangelsberg. Since 2019 Grünheide is also known as "Tesla-town" when Tesla began to build the first Tesla Gigafactory (Berlin-Brandenburg) in Europe on the ground of Grünheide.

Grünheide (Mark) is crossed by well-developed and signposted cycle paths - European Bicycle Route R1 and D-Route 3 (international long distance cycle route), the Spree Cycle Path, the Oder-Spree tour and the Tour Brandenburg cycle path, and it is criss-crossed by well-marked hiking trails - the 66-lake hiking trail, the Müggel-Spree trail, the Way of St. James, the Löcknitztalweg trail and the Möllenseewanderweg hiking trail.
