The Waldkabinett forestry school is in the Wildbahn Colony, right by the B2 from Schwedt to Gartz.

Using on-the-spot visual aids and detailed practical information, children and school groups can find out about the natural environment and the forest around them. Importantly, they learn through experiencing things personally. The emphasis is on sensory experiences and feelings. So here, we listen, see, taste and smell everything very deliberately.
  • Adventure walks

with the theme of “Exploring Nature” are not just boring walks through the forest. Environmental games consolidate what visitors have heard. And what child doesn’t love pretending to be an owl now and again? They soon realise how difficult it is when you can’t just pick up your daily food from the supermarket!

  • Forest seminars

particularly suitable for primary school children from Class 3 onwards. What they have learnt is consolidated in the green classroom, and then interpreted out in the natural world.

  • Forest adventure days, forest rallies and forest project days

offer mainly primary school children a day of excitement and activity. Topics are discussed in detail with teachers first so that they fit in with the curriculum.

  • The Forest Youth Games

are held every year a few days before the summer holidays for Class 5 children. Every pupil is awarded a certificate, and the three best groups and the best class receive generous prizes.

Every year, Waldkabinett Schwedt organises various events along the theme of “The Forest Makes Music”. These include, for example, the family music festival and “forest singing” for nursery school children. Please see local press for dates, or visit www.treffpunktwald.de

You can enjoy all sorts of activities and excitement in the Waldkabinett Schwedt!
