The Baptist Free Church has been in Eberswalde since 1879. They built their own church in 1914 near the old synagogue. The well-attended church extended the church in 2018 by adding the Bethel-Kapelle chapel.

Baptists are only baptised as youths and do not receive any church tax. So it is particularly important for the congregation to value childcare and events. The church community must be lively and active to maintain the congregation.
