1775 was the year that the building was first mentioned as the Royal Forestry House in Bestensee. Today, it houses the “Steakhouse 1775”. It serves steaks and steak specialities plus other selected dishes. Steaks are cooked on the lava stone grill at a temperature of 450 degrees. The intense heat ensures that the meat closes its pores quickly and stays juicy inside. The meat and other ingredients are of the choicest quality and are purchased exclusively from carefully vetted suppliers. Freshly tapped premium beer from the Sauerland and Bavarian speciality beers are served with the food. The wines come from Lake Constance and France and are made from grape varieties that go well with steaks and meats plus the right wines for fish dishes. You can also book the “Steakhouse 1775” for parties and special events, of course.
