The sixth stage of the Burgenwanderweg trail is a 25-kilometre route from Ziesar to Groß Briesen. Be sure to look out for the fieldstone church built in the 13th century in Bücknitz. In the forest just before the end of the trail in Groß Briesen, you will suddenly come across the Blue Stone, a boulder dating from the Ice Age and found in the middle of a pine plantation (Text: www.wandermagazin.de).

Start: Ziesar, End: Groß Briesen

How to get there: From Berlin central station (Hauptbahnhof) take the RE1 regional train (Magdeburg) to Wusterwitz. From here take bus no. 560 to Ziesar (about 1.5 hours).

Return journey: From Groß Briesen take bus no. 559 to Wollin. From here, take bus no. 559 to Brandenburg. Finally, take the RE1 region train (Frankfurt / Oder) to Berlin Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) (approximately 2 hours).

Route: Ziesar, Bücknitz, Glienicke, Steinberg, Grebs, Friesdorf, Groß Briesen
