High above the town of Bad Belzig, the “Schweizerhaus” (Swiss House), which can be seen from afar, has been home to the Roger Loewig House, a museum and memorial, since 2009. The painter, illustrator and poet Roger Loewig (1930-1997) often stayed here from 1964 to 1972 and from when the Berlin Wall came down until he passed away.

The exhibition provides an overview of the life and work of this special artist and is arranged according to the development of his work. The house is cared for by his friend and companion, Wolfgang Woizick, who lives there.

After extensive construction and renovation work, the museum is open at weekends and partially barrier-free.
