Even during her training, physiotherapist Katja Knothe wondered "How can a health holiday after rehabilitation and wellness be organised differently and so effectively that a person in need of health can take the recovery and relaxation home with him or her?” With a small team, she set out to develop a recreation park on a piece of land that has been used for 50 years as a local recuperation site for children due to its healthy air and proximity to the forest and lake. Here she and her team developed their own concept for physiotherapy treatment. Some of the prerequisites for this have already been created.

In 2015, the holistic physiotherapy practice was built in the forest settlement of Neuhof near Zossen, right next to the Genesium holiday house. In 2016, the complex was extended by a small café where you can enjoy delicious lunches from April to October and fresh food directly from the barbecue, as well as learning archery under instruction. Many patients, as well as holiday guests from Neuhof, meet up here at the weekends to enjoy sociable evenings listening to dance music.

In recent years, Mrs Knothe, a trained physiotherapist, sectoral medical practitioner and monastery doctor, has developed her tried and tested concept of a ‘genesium’, a healing place for pain sufferers. This demonstrates the effective combination of orthodox medicine and naturopathy with positive experiences, healthy air and sports activities.

The Genesium holiday house is located directly at the edge of the forest and is charmingly and comfortably furnished as a nest for two (health tourists who come for two to three weeks on a health holiday can also be treated on prescription by the doctor - please clarify this by telephone).
