The jetty at the waterway rest area is a convenient place to get into and out of canoes and rowing boats. Located by a little pond at the end of the Emster Canal, the rest area is ideal for starting or completing a tour. The area is well-suited for loading boats, as the rest area for boaters can be accessed by car, and there is parking, too. There is also seating for picnics, a toilet and a restaurant.

From Kloster Lehnin, water tourers can access the lakes Klostersee and Netzenersee via the canal, and then paddle on to explore the bird paradise of Rietzer See.
