The Nordic Garden is located in Sanssouci Park, not far away from the Sicilian Garden. In addition to the sculptural decorations, the garden is characterised by evergreen shrubs and trees, especially conifers. Its centre is the shell grotto with a viewing plateau hidden behind a classicist facade. A male and a female ginkgo tree attract special attention. With their light green and bright yellow colouring in autumn, the trees form a beautiful colour contrast to the evergreen dark conifers.
