From Oranienburg-Friedrichsthal you cycle to Lindow – the town of the three lakes – and the final destination of the tour is Neuruppin, the birthplace of Fontane and Schinkel, situated on Brandenburg’s longest lake. The tour takes you through the towns, meadows and forests of the Brandenburg Marches. The palaces in Oranienburg, Liebenberg and Hoppenrade give the tour its distinctive charm. A detour to Meseberg takes you to another palace – the Federal Government guest house.
