Set back on a plot of land with old trees in the middle of Neuglobsow, this pretty little church radiates contemplative calm. The rustic fieldstone walls support a brightly plastered roof. A small, tower-like structure overlooks the roof ridge – inside it is the church bell. The church was built in 1951 and 1952 on the former site of the mansion of a glassworks dynasty in Neuglobsow.

An eye-catcher in the simple but appealing interior is the stained glass window with the title “Jesus as a Good Shepherd” in the chancel, created by Prof. Menzel from Berlin. The organ was not installed until 1980. It was made by Nußbücker from Plau am See. The forged iron grille and the lamp in the anteroom were donated by Prof. Fritz Kühn from Berlin. The church is used for services as well as concerts and lectures. Alternating exhibitions are held featuring art and photographs and exploring historical topics, and there is also a permanent exhibition on the history of the church.

The church is part of the “Open Church” initiative and is open all day from May to September.
