The Kummersdorf lock is a ship lock in the Storkow Canal, a section of the Dahme waterway and part of the Storkow waters, and is operated locally. It is located in the district of Kummersdorf, in Storkow (Mark) and on the way from Berlin towards Scharmützelsee and was originally designed for timber transportation with the Finow-Maßkahn. Today, the lock is mainly used by passenger boats and by over 10,000 pleasure craft every year. The Kummersdorf sub-district of the Spree-Havel Waterways and Shipping Authority is responsible for the Kummersdorf lock. It is a self-service lock.
