Experience industrial culture by the water - at Mildenberg Brickworks Park
A trip to the Mildenberg Brickworks Park is a special experience: the park is located in the middle of a former clay pit landscape and combines an industrial museum and adventure park – where guests can experience the history of what was once the largest brickworks district in Europe in a lively and hands-on way.
Situated directly on the Havel, Mildenberg Brickworks Park combines nature experiences and exciting history in a very special way. Two charter harbours invite you to enjoy relaxing boat trips or day trips on the water - perfect for an eventful family outing or a short holiday by the lake.
The history of the brick industry unfolds on around 40 hectares - vivid, multimedia and hands-on. Whether on a guided tour or on your own, the past comes alive here. You can get active yourself in the originally preserved ring kilns and old machine halls - stack, crank, press, discover. Feel the atmosphere of times gone by and experience how the machines once thundered through the halls.
The historic light railway rides are a highlight for young and old alike: the brickworks railway takes you past historic sites such as the old brickmakers' cottages and the Stackebrandt brickworks with its operational steam engine. The Tonlorenbahn through the Uckermärkische Seen Nature Park is particularly idyllic - on selected weekends it is even pulled by a real steam locomotive.
