This lovingly designed experience area includes the Löwinghaus information centre, a sandpit development, a glacial erratic path and an Ice Age exhibition, and vividly presents the Ice Age’s role in forming the local landscape.

The aim of the Geologischer Garten is to provide an accessible representation of the effects of the Ice Age. It explains how and why the ice got here, how it transported huge glacial erratics to us, and how the lakes and terminal moraine hills were formed by the glaciers.
