The first lock in Wolfswinkel was built from 1603 to 1620. What were known as the Wolfswinkel’schen Schleusen were finished in 1746 and the lock in its current form was built in 1876. In 1974, the lock’s mechanical equipment was replaced and the upper and lower gated were repaired in 1999. After the lock, the historic industrial buildings of the former paper factory line the Finow Canal.
