The current "Neue Mühle" lock was taken into operation in 1868. It replaced predecessors from the 17th and 18th centuries, whose remains can still be seen today as the walls of the boat tow. The lock is part of the Dahme waterway and is located at the transition from the Dahme to Lake Krimnicksee in the urban area of Königs Wusterhausen
