"Schönefeld Kr. Luckenwalde" is written on the old station indicator on the platform in the tranquil village of Schönefeld, which is now part of the municipality of Nuthe-Urstromtal. Formerly built as a station on the Royal Prussian Military Railway, the station is now part of the Zossen-Jänickendorf trolley line. The station building now houses the café-restaurant "Zum Pirol", where the landlady serves Swabian and Baden specialties from her old homeland. The cuisine is notoriously hearty. But fans of desserts and cakes will also find what they are looking for on the menu. On nice days, the café with its outdoor seating directly on the train platform is a popular stop for cyclists and day trippers of all kinds. Children are welcome and will find play facilities on site and, of course, dishes suitable for children. For travelers in motor homes, 2 to 3 parking spaces are available on the premises. The station is located on the approx. 250 km long supra-regional bike path Leipzig - Berlin and on the Flämingwalk, an extensive hiking trail system, including the Schönefelder Waldweg or the Zwei-Dörfer-Weg.
