Under the title "In the footsteps of Sudermann and Lenné through Blankensee Palace Park", interested visitors are cordially invited to a joint walk through Blankensee Palace Park every second Sunday of the month. This 3.5-hectare park is one of the few historicist gardens in Brandenburg that has survived the test of time. Which figure once stood on the Nieplitz Bridge? What are those stone pedestals in the lawns in front of the palace? Where did the Johannisbrücke get its name? What is a "HaHa" and what does it have to do with the Nieplitz Canal? During the guided tour, 300 years of history of the palace park will be illuminated, as well as the three gentlemen who designed it. From the Baroque garden, to the landscape park, to the historicist garden, the characteristics of the garden styles that were applied here will be explained. Together we will search for traces of park buildings and decorations that have long since disappeared and are hardly visible today, and we will learn how the park has acquired its present appearance.
