Experience the pioneering spirit of German aviation. The Hans-Grade-Museum describes the beginnings of German motor flight at the oldest airfield in Germany, built in Bork, now Borkheide, in 1909. The first postal delivery by air from Bork to Brück was made by a Grade plane in 1912. A video with historic recordings from aviation history including the landing of our IL-18 on November 16, 1989 at the Flugplatz Borkheide airfield is a recommended part of the exhibition.
