The main theme of this bicycle tour is the generation of energy from coal, wind and water. Within close proximity of each other, this tour takes you past a post mill and a Paltrock windmill. In addition to the various windmills, the tour also takes you past an impressive industrial monument from the lignite mining era. In the F60 visitor mine you can take part in the guided tour “zwischen Himmel und Erde” (between heaven and earth), which is all about how coal used to be mined in the Elbe-Elster region. In addition to the energy production sites, the tour also takes you through a wide open landscape, many castles and plenty of nature.
