Your entrance to the nuns' path couldn't be more impressive than the Stift zum Heiligengrabe monastery. The Stift monastery, founded in 1287, is the only almost completely preserved Cistercian monastery complex in Brandenburg and impresses with its medieval buildings such as the collegiate church, the enclosure and the saints grave chapel. After a few minutes' walk you will immerse yourself in the Stiftswald. Even if you haven't left much of the way behind you, you should definitely make a stop at the “Red Bridge”, because a Kneipp pool here perks up tired feet again. A few meters further on, a wooden dog welcomes you at the entrance to the nature learning path, which, accompanied by the Nadelbach, shows you the way to go.

Information boards and activity stations line the way. If you want to feel the forest up close under the soles of your feet, take off your shoes and take a short detour on the barefoot path. But be careful: wooden gobblins look through the undergrowth. If you turn their heads, they might reveal a great deal of knowledge.

Next stop are the woods and fields to Blumenthal. One of the largest wooden observation towers in Germany is located here. After 187 steps you will be rewarded with a magnificent view. In good weather you have a view of up to 40 km, and if you look closely you can see the monastery Stift zum Heiligengrabe in the distance. Hardly anything is as wonderful on a hike as taking a break in a wonderfully beautiful place and getting the snack you deserve out of your backpack. Here at the observation tower is the perfect opportunity to do so. Well strengthened, you can then return to the starting point of your hike.
