An excursion to the Ice Age could be the motto of your bike tour, if you swing on your saddle in Erkner and take the circuit through the Ice Age landscape of the Erkner, Grünheide (Mark), Kagel, Kienbaum, Hangelsberg region and further through the Spreetal go. 18,000 years ago she created a varied landscape of valleys, quarries and stones along the way, which will lead your tour past many lakes, forests and meadows along the Spree. A very contrasting route leads through the Grünheid forests and offers nature lovers many open landscapes and a beautiful view of the water. If you prefer a leisurely excursion, follow the path from Kienbaum on a quiet, shady country road to Hangelsberg, where you meet the Spreeradweg and can return to Erkner. In spring you will be surprised by a sea of lilies of the valley, which especially love this location.

If you want to ride a more sporty route, you can tackle the entire 70 km bike tour, continue from Kienbaum to Trebus and come to the Spreeradweg via Fürstenwalde. In the depression of the Trebuser See you can get a very good idea of the Ice Age. The outdoor area of the museum in Fürstenwalde houses the largest collection of Ice Age debris in Brandenburg. Here, those interested in geology can get a scientific explanation for the ice age processes in the region.

Tip: A special feature of Hangelsberg is the massive occurrence of lilies of the valley on several 100 hectares in the surrounding forests. This lily of the valley occurrence is one of the largest in Europe.
