The canoe route Burg Fish Pass is an easy, 4-kilometre circular route that takes you away from the main tourist tracks through the Kauper district of Burg (Spreewald) where the health resort is located. On this route you pass a lock: the Kongoaschleuse with fish-canoe pass and boat-roller jetty. Burg-Kauper is made up of individual farmsteads, some of which are built in the typical Spreewald style as is typical of this dispersed settlement. At the Kongoaschleuse at the beginning of your tour you will find the fish-canoe pass – a combination of fish ladder and boat-roller jetty that provides a convenient river passage both for migratory fish and for water sports enthusiasts.
