The homely inn is located in a half-timbered house in the state-approved resort Goyatz. Guests can enjoy down-to-earth German cooking and a cosy atmosphere. The menu features simple, hearty fare, such as schnitzel with fries or beef roulades. There is also a range of snacks, including ‘Bouletten’ (burgers) and Thuringian ‘Rostbratwurst’ sausages. Various hot and cold drinks are also available.

The affiliated beer garden is a good place to take a break on fair days. The restaurant is located on the shore of Lake Schwielochsee, and the nearest bathing area is only 50 metres away. The hiking route Leichhardt-Trail, the circular trail around Lake Schwielochsee and cycling route no. 6 of the series of tours exploring historic town centres, all go directly past the restaurant.
