The manually operated Grafenbrück Lock is one of the 12 historic locks along the Finow Canal. It was first built from 1743 to 1746, rebuilt in 1833 as a double lock, which was once again filled in in 1930. A weir was built in its place. In 1876, the lock was completed in its current form and in 1971 new lower gates were installed.

Up until 1997, the future of the Finow Canal was uncertain. In 1999, Euro 20 million was spent on renovating the canal and locks, which are now exclusively available to pleasure boats, sporting boats and passenger boat cruises.

Location: Fik 63.30 kilometres

Measurements: Lock chamber 41.62 metres long; 9.6 metres wide, upper and lower gate: 5.75 metres wide respectively.

Lift: 3.60 m

In the period from mid-April to mid-October, all of the locks are manned from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., last lock operation at 4:45 p.m.
