It is home to 1,500 animals of 150 species from 5 continents. Especially remarkable are the combined enclosure for brown bears and wolves, the accessible deer and kangaroo enclosure, monkey families living in the trees of the zoo, the world’s most thrilling lion enclosure, the rainforest house with tropical animals, such as iguanas, crocodiles, a unique recently built ice-age-like glacier landscape with unique tiger outdoor enclosure, glacier and climate playground, the zoo museum and the zoo school. The zoo also offers a petting zoo, eight adventure and themed playgrounds, and a “Wedding at the Zoo”.

Opening hours: year-round daily from 9 a.m. until dusk, open on federal holidays.
